RULES
Please abide by these rules and have a safe and enjoyable trip.
PARTY LEADERS ARE RESPONSIBLE for the supervision and discipline of their members at all times, when the boat is moving and stationary.
THE CAPTAIN IS 'MASTER' OF THE BOAT and therefore shall take such action as is necessary to ensure the safety of the boat, its passengers and other waterway users.
In accordance with licensing regulations no more than 12 passengers are to be carried.
ALL PARTIES MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY ADULTS OVER 21 YEARS OF AGE.
Mixed parties must have leaders from each sex.
ORGANISATIONS WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY WILFUL DAMAGE caused during their trip and will be called upon to make payment for any such damage.
SMOKING is NOT allowed on the boats.
ALCOHOL is NOT allowed on the boats.
SWIMMING in the canal is NOT allowed.
AT NO TIME SHOULD ANY FIREARM OR OFFENSIVE WEAPONS BE TAKEN ON BOARD THE BOATS.
If this happens the Leader in Charge must confiscate the offending article until the end of the booking. The Captain is instructed not to move the boat until this action has been taken. Carrying such weapons is contravening the Byelaws of British Waterways and makes our Insurance Policy completely void.
All parties must inform a representative of this Committee of their intended route.
